Oxfam International · Executive Director
Amitabh Behar
The confederation must step in before the damage becomes permanent.
Amitabh Behar leads Oxfam International — the body that convenes Oxfam affiliates worldwide. CUPE Local 2722 workers at Oxfam Canada are on strike for the first time in 44 years. Senior leadership in Canada has refused to return to the bargaining table. That stubbornness is scarring Oxfam’s global reputation and harming the dignity of the workers who built the organization’s name.
Behar has spent decades on human rights, inequality, and governance accountability. This is the moment to use that authority — together with peer executive directors across the confederation — to press Oxfam Canada to practice what it preaches.
Who Receives Your Letter
Your letter goes to Amitabh Behar at Oxfam International, with affiliate executive directors across the confederation copied privately. Lauren Ravon is not on this list — this appeal is to confederation leadership to intervene.
